Energy Auditing
If you answered NO to just one of the questions below then read on and contact us to save energy and money.
Is my compressor sized correctly?
Is my compressor less than 10 years old?
Have my line filter elements been changed in the last 12 months?
Is my compressed air dryer sized correctly?
Are my air mains large enough for my needs?
Can I afford to ignore all the leaks that I hear when it is quiet ?
Energy Audits
Do you know how much compressed air costs to produce?
Using the Atlas Copco iiTrak data loggers we can establish a true indication of your system air usage and cost. The iiTrak logger incorporates the latest technology and is an invaluable device to provide a true indication “datum” of a factory’s compressed air demand and most importantly “wastage”.
Before the start of an ENERGY AUDIT we measure the true energy drawn for each compressor (on load and off load) using a power meter, the mains voltage and (pf) power factor correction is also recorded which gives us the true kW consumed for each compressor. The compressors will be logged for a minimum period of one week, the data is downloaded to the computer. The unique software programme from Atlas Copco enables simulated compressor comparisons to be made against the actual system, this provides our customers with the most energy efficient products and solutions available including the energy efficient VSD compressor. We are also able to measure pressure at multiple points in the compressed air system to highlight pressure drops.
All the above equipment is battery driven which alleviates the need for power at point of use.
Air Leak Survey
All AIR LEAKS cost money, even a small inaudible leak on a flexible hose connection is costing you money. Add up all the flexible hose connections and you have the potential for a big hole in your energy budget. Using an ULTRASOUND detector even the smallest air leak that is inaudible to normal hearing can be located.

On average a company can be losing 25% of their compressed air in leakage making your energy bill higher than necessary. This also puts unnecessary load on the compressor adding extra running hours and increased service costs.

If you are running a 45kW compressor the system could be wasting around 11kW of energy.
11kW x 40 hours x 50 weeks x £0.070 per kW/h = £1,540.00 per year in waste energy.
